For a legal entity, an Affiliation might be a parent company as seen below.
For a Natural Person, an Affiliation might be as a trustee for a company, as seen below.
The major difference considering affiliations is that the Affiliated Entities subpage only appears for Legal Entities. A user can associate different Natural Persons and Legal Entities to a particular Legal Entity, but not the other way around. If a Natural Person is associated with an organization through the Affiliated Entities subpage of the respective organization, then they will appear in the Affiliations section on their own Natural Person entity page.
Each affiliated entity has the option to add a role that it serves within the organization. The following roles may be added: Director, Officer, Trustee, Power of Attorney, Nominee, Employee, Primary Contact, Shareholder, Sole Shareholder, Majority Shareholder, Beneficiary, Contact and Authorized Representative.
